Happy Swiss National day!

OIKOS is the shelter of Unaccompanied Minor Girls in Athens, Greece operated by Zeuxis. In the almost two years of its operation, it has been the home for many girls who found themselves alone and unprotected. OIKOS has been highlighted by the European Commission as "good practice" and is widely recognized for the excellent conditions it offers to the girls that live there. OIKOS owes its existence to Switzerland, as it was created and supported with funding from the Swiss confederation.

OIKOS and ZEUXIS have received support from the Embassy of Switzerland in Greece / Πρεσβεία της Ελβετίας στην Ελλάδα and the Swiss Ambassador himself, as well as from the Swiss MFA and SEM. Therefore, every year, the 1st of August is a day when we too celebrate and are grateful for all the love and support we have received. This year our girls prepared a Swiss recipe, made windmills and flags to celebrate.
